Test methods for sterile medical device package — Part 8: Coating/adhesive weight determination
1 Scope
This part of YY/T 0681 specifies the measurement of the coating/adhesive weight applied to the substrate (e.g., film, paper and non-woven fabrics). The coating/adhesive weight is expressed as the weight per given area (e.g., g/m2).

3 Term and definition
For the purposes of this standard, the following term and definition apply.
3.1
coating
material applied to improve the characteristics of substrate
4 Significance and use
4.1 Coating weight is used to characterize some properties of coated substrate (such as sealing stability, peelability and appearance). The method described in this part is the means to determine the coating/adhesive weight.
4.2 Acceptable indicators are not involved in this part, which needs to be agreed upon by the user and the manufacturer of the product.
