Drilling rig foundation specification
1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, selection, application scope, technical requirements, materials, construction, and inspection and acceptance of drilling rig foundation in oil and gas drilling.
This standard is applicable for the construction of foundations of all kinds of land rigs in oil and natural gas drilling operations.

3 Function, classification and type
3.1 Function of rig foundation
a) Provide a safe operating platform for a rig in the entire well drilling process to sustain and transfer the load from the rig and its facilities to the ground;
b) Offer an installation and operation platform for rig and its facilities;
c) Protect the substructure of the rig and its facilities from corrosion;
d) Facilitate the disposal of waste and water;
e) Provide the space for pipe;
