1 Scope
This standard specifies the dimension, appearance, mass, performance requirements, test method, inspection rules, coating, marking and quality certificate of submerged arc-welded steel pipe for common fluid service pipeline (including longitudinally submerged arc welding (LSAW) steel pipe and spirally submerged arc welding (SSAW) steel pipe, hereinafter referred to as "steel pipe").
This standard is applicable to steel pipes used for conveying pipeline for such common fluids as water, sewage, air and heating steam and steel pipes used for conveying pipeline for other fluids with similar requirements.
Note: Steel pipe delivery is carried out by either theoretical mass or actual mass (weighing), which shall be indicated in the Order Contract (see 4.6.2 for details).
