1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic principles, methods and procedures for food sampling and delivering for sanitation supervision at frontier ports.
This standard is applicable to food sampling and delivering in the processes of the sanitation supervision by inspection and quarantine institutions and the investigation of foodborne diseases and food safety accidents.

For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

foodborne diseases
infectious and toxic diseases caused by pathogenic factors in food entering human body
3.2
food poisoning
acute and subacute foodborne diseases after eating food contaminated by biological and chemical toxic and hazardous substances or food containing toxic and hazardous substances
3.3
food safety accidents
accidents such as food poisoning, foodborne diseases and food contamination that originate from food and are harmful or may be harmful to human health
