3.3
environment-friendly use period (EFUP)
period during which the hazardous substances contained in electrical and electronic products will not leak or mutate, and will not cause serious environmental pollution or severe damage to persons or property when the products are used normally according to the product instructions
The starting date of the EFUP for electrical and electronic products is the production date of the product.
3.4
labeling
process of labeling information on hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products
4 General
The manufacturers or importers of electrical and electronic products shall label the information regarding the presence of hazardous substances in the products in accordance with the requirements of this document.
Products purchased for the purpose of production support do not need to be labeled with the restricted use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products, but the supplier shall provide all the necessary information for labeling as required by the purchaser.
5 Labeling of hazardous substances containing information in products
5.1 Labeling
If the content of hazardous substances in the product meets the requirements of GB/T 26572, the manufacturer or importer of electrical and electronic products shall label it according to Figure 1. If the content of hazardous substances in the product does not meet the requirements of GB/T 26572, the product shall be labeled according to Figure 2, and the name and containing information of hazardous substances in the product shall be provided according to the requirements of 5.2.
Note: The number specified in Figure 2 is for illustrative purposes only and shall be replaced with the corresponding EFUP for electrical and electronic products when in use.
