1 Scope
1.1 This code is applicable to the engineering design of instrument measuring tubing and instrument signal transmission wiring in newly-built and extended automatic control engineering of petrochemical industry and the reformation of equipment may be carried out by referring to it.
1.2 During the implementation of this code, the requirements of currently related mandatory standard and specification shall also be confirmed.

For dated reference, subsequent amendments to (excluding corrigendum), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, all parties coming to an agreement according to this code are encouraged to study whether the latest editions of these documents are applicable. 3 General Requirements
3.1 The engineering design for instrument tubing and wiring shall achieve: the measurement of instrument is exactly, the signal transmission is reliable, safe, economical and practical with less lag, the wiring is in good order and is aesthetic to be convenient for construction and maintenance.
3.2 Where the instrument tubing and wiring is designed in an environment with fire and explosion hazard, corrosion, high temperature, moisture and vibration, the corresponding protection measures shall be taken.
