1 Scope
1.1 This standard specifies test methods for determination of the metal content in oils before and after the oxidation to characterize sample corrosiveness and is mainly used to examine diesel engine oil's tendency to corrode various metals, lead and copper commonly used in cam followers and bearings in the cam follower.
1.2 International system of units (SI) are adopted in this standard.
