1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This code is applicable to inspection and management work prior to installation of the valves used in the petrochemical industry that are made of general cast iron, carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel or parts of non-ferrous metals such as copper, aluminium and titanium and are with design pressure of 400 Pa (absolute pressure)~42 MPa (gauge pressure) and design temperature of -196~850℃.
1.0.2 Where there are separate requirements for valve inspection in the design document, the valve inspection shall be carried out according to the requirements of design document.
1.0.3 The inspection on valves manufactured in accordance with foreign standards shall comply with the corresponding foreign inspection standards.
1.0.4 The safety technique and labor protection in the valve inspection work shall be performed according to the relevant requirements of the relevant current laws, regulations and standards of the nation and "Technical Code for Construction Safety in Petrochemical Engineering" (SH 3505).
1.0.5 The valves manufactured in accordance with the current "Specification for Selection Inspection and Acceptance of Steel Valves Used in Petrochemical Industry" (SH 3064) or API standards and with corresponding certification mark and with the user supervising the manufacturing and conducting inspection and acceptance in the manufactory may be carried out with the material inspection and valve test stipulated in this code before installation according to 5% (no less than one valve) of outturn quantity per batch; if any problem found, the valves shall be inspected one by one.
