QJ 3228-2005 Test method for Poisson's ratio of composite solid propellant
1 Scope
This standard specifies the test devices, apparatus and instruments, specimens, test conditions, test procedures, and test data processing for determining the Poisson's ratio of composite solid propellant using a biaxial extensometer.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the Poisson's ratio of composite solid propellant when the strain range is small.

3 Principle
In this method, the ratio of transverse strain to corresponding longitudinal strain, namely Poisson's ratio, is measured using a biaxial extensometer to measure the transverse and longitudinal strains of the specimen within the proportional limit under uniaxial tensile test conditions.
4 Test devices, apparatus and instruments
4.1 Testing machine
In addition to the requirements of Clause 4, Method 413.1, GJB 770A-1997, the testing machine (tensile testing machine, fixtures, and measuring tools) shall also meet the following requirements:
a) The testing machine shall maintain constant speed during loading;
