1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification and model naming, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of household and similar pre-filter used for eliminating granular material in tap water.
This standard is applicable to pre-filter used at home or similar place with municipal tap water or other centralized water supply as raw water and filter screen or lamination as main filtering measure.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 Pre-filter
A kind of mechanical filter with filter screen or lamination as filter element and used for filtering granular impurities in municipal tap water or other centralized water supply, which is independently installed at front end of water purification equipment generally.
