NY/T 2890-2016 Determination of γ-aminobutyric acid in rice - HPLC
1 Scope
This standard specifies the high performance liquid chromatography for determination of γ-aminobutyric acid content in rice.
This standard is applicable to the determination of γ-aminobutyric acid content in rice.
For the purpose of this method, the limit of detection is 0.10 mg/kg, and the limit of quantification is 0.20 mg/kg.

GB/T 6682 Water for analytical laboratory use - Specification and test methods
3 Principle
The specimen is extracted with ethanol aqueous solution, derived with 4-dimethylaminoazobenzene-4-sulfonyl chloride (DABS-Cl), and determined by high performance liquid chromatography, with retention time for qualitative analysis and external standard method for quantitative analysis.
4 Reagents and materials
Unless otherwise specified, analytical grade reagents shall be used. Class-I water specified in GB/T 6682 is adopted.
4.1 Anhydrous ethanol (C2H5OH): Ultrapure.
4.2 Acetonitrile (CH3CN): Chromatographically pure.
4.3 Extraction solution: Anhydrous ethanol + water = 4 + 1 (V + V), mix 400 mL of anhydrous ethanol and 100 mL of water well.
