1 Scope
This part specifies the procedures and methods for risk assessment for the impact of pesticides on non-target arthropods.
This part is applicable to the risk assessment of the impact of pesticides sprayed on non-target arthropods in both in-field and off-field exposure scenarios for the registration of the chemical pesticides and the biological pesticides with clear chemical structures of active ingredients.
This part is not applicable to risk assessment for pesticides to bees and silkworms.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in NY/T 2882.1 and the following apply.
3.1
non-target arthropods (NTAs)
all arthropod species not being taken as target pests to be controlled
3.2
in-field exposure scenario
a kind of scenario where the non-target arthropods in a farmland are exposed to the pesticides, which are sprayed to the farmland as required by agricultural production, through the cumulative residue on and direct contact to the crop surface (leaves, stems or flowers)
