1 Scope
1.1 This Part of NB/T 47013 specifies test methods and evaluation criteria for uniform wall thickness reduction caused by corrosion, erosion or mechanical damage on ferromagnetic materials (carbon steel, low alloy steel, etc.) of pressure equipment in use, all tests shall be carried out without dismantle cover layer.
1.2 This Part is applicable to the testing of wall thickness reduction of main body base materials of pressure equipments accompanied with cover layers, which, have the following conditions:
a) Metal coating thickness not greater than 1mm;
b) For stainless steel or aluminum protective layer, cover thickness not greater than 200mm; for ferrum protective layer, cover thickness not greater than 100mm;
c) Base material thickness range is 3mm to 7mm;
d) Tube or tube fittings with diameter not less than 50mm;
e) Base material temperature range is -196℃ to 500℃.
1.3 Testing of pressure equipment in use without cover layer may refer to this Part.
