3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 18487.1-2015 and GB/T 29317-2012 and the following apply.
3.1
conductive charging
a method of charging a storage battery by electrical conduction
3.2
on-board charger
a special device that is fixed and mounted on the electric vehicle and is used to convert AC electric energy to DC electric energy, and then charge the storage battery of the electric vehicle by conduction
3.3
AC charging spot
a special power supply device that provides AC power for electric vehicles with on-board charging devices by conduction
3.4
power saving mode
a state of the charging spot to close some circuits (e.g., PWM output signal) in order to reduce losses, when the vehicle is connected to the charging spot, but not in the charging state
In the power saving mode, charging function can’t be awakened by closing S2 switch of the vehicle.
3.5
standby mode
a state that the charging spot only maintains basic functions such as background communication and state indication in case of no vehicle charging or personnel operation
3.6
standby power
Active power of AC input when the charging spot is in standby mode
4 Basic construction
The basic construction of charging spot includes the spot body, and AC connection set for charging. The spot body includes but is not limited to a main power supply circuit, a control unit, a man-machine interaction unit, a metering and billing unit (optional), etc., with mutual logical relationship shown in Figure 1.
Keys:
QF——air circuit breaker with leakage protection function, or similar device;
WH——AC electric energy meter;
KM——contactor for controlling the output of the AC charging spot, or similar device.

5.1.1 Normal service environment
——indoor charging spot;
——outdoor charging spot.
5.1.2 Special service environment
The charging spots may be classified by the special service conditions given in Sub-clause 14.2, GB/T 18487.1-2015.
5.2 By service objects
By the service objects, the charging spots are classified into:
——public charging spot;
The charging spot is open to the general public and charged by the operator’s payment method;
——special charging spot;
The charging spot only provides charging services for specific vehicle owner, but is not open to the general public.
5.3 By installation modes
By installation modes, the charging spot is classified into:
——floor-type charging spot, see Figure 2;
——wall-mounted charging spot, see Figure 3.
