1 Scope
This part specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules of stainless steel covered electrodes for manual arc welding for Class 1, 2, 3 components of PWR nuclear power plants.
This part is applicable to E308L, E309L, E316L stainless steel covered electrodes for manual arc welding for Class 1, 2, 3 mechanical components of PWR nuclear power plants.

3 Model
The electrode models are E308L, E309L, and E316L.
Electrode manufacturers shall evaluate the electrode grades in accordance with the relevant provisions of EJ/T 1027.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Dimension
The electrode dimension shall meet the requirements of Table 1.
The length of the holding end of the electrode shall meet the requirements of Table 2.
