1 Scope
This standard specifies physical and chemical test methods of metal materials used for mechanical components of nuclear island of pressurized water reactor (PWR) nuclear power plant.
This standard is applicable to physical and chemical analysis and inspection on metal materials used for mechanical components of nuclear island of pressurized water reactor (PWR) nuclear power plant.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in the above-mentioned normative references and the following apply.
3.1
nil ductility transition temperature
TNDT
the maximum temperature at the fracture of drop hammer specimen when tested according to the method specified in Chapter 6
3.2
reference nil ductility transition temperature
RTNDT
the temperature determined through drop hammer test and auxiliary Charpy (V-notch) impact test carried out according to the method specified in Chapter 7
4 Tensile Test
4.1 General
This Chapter is applicable to tensile test of metals (including base metal, weld metal and welded joint) at room temperature and high-temperature. The temperature range of room-temperature test is generally 10℃~35℃; for test having stringent requirements on temperature, the test temperature shall be 23℃ ± 5℃. The temperature of high temperature test shall be greater than 35℃.
