Petroleum asphalt for road pavement
1 Scope
1.1 This standard specifies the technical requirements and test methods, as well as packaging, marking, storage, transportation, delivery acceptance and sampling of petroleum asphalt for road pavement (produced by various processes with petroleum as raw material) suitable for building medium and low-grade roads and non-arterial road pavements of urban roads.
1.2 The products for purpose of this standard are applicable to asphalt pavement of medium and low grade roads and non-main roads of urban roads, and can also be used as raw materials of emulsified asphalt and cutback asphalt.
1.3 This standard excludes the safety specifications of usage, and the standard users are liable to develop appropriate safety specifications prior to use.

3 Product classification
For purpose of this standard, the products are classified into five designations according to the penetration range: No.200, No.180, No.140, No.100 and No.60.
