1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of under-shaft flameproof diesel engine for the mine (hereinafter referred to as flameproof diesel engine).
This standard is applicable to under-shaft flameproof diesel engine and its auxiliary components for the mine with explosive gas atmosphere.

3 Term and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 The flameproof diesel engine
It refers to the diesel engine used in explosive gas atmosphere; such diesel engine has flameproof performance and may work in explosive atmosphere without igniting the atmosphere; the index of its exhaust gas meets the requirements of MT 220.
