1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic requirements for soaking and flushing of civil aviation fuel facilities and equipment (hereinafter referred to as facilities and equipment), the requirements for facility and equipment inspection, soaking, flushing, and record files.
This standard is applicable to soaking and flushing of constructed, renovated, extended or newly purchased civil aviation fuel facilities and equipment.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
soak
process of injecting civil aviation fuel that meets the specification and soaking the surface in contact with the fuel for a certain time before the constructed, renovated, extended or newly purchased facilities and equipment are officially put into use to dissolve the potential pollutants such as solvent, flux and grease
Note: Facilities and equipment include pipelines and their accessories, fuel tanks (cabins) and their accessories, oil pumps, fuel trucks, etc.
3.2
confine space
closed space without adequate ventilation, with barrier entrance and possible inhalation of harmful gas

height
height more than 2m (inclusive) from the datum level and likely to fall
