Explosion suppression safety technical requirements for road transportation vehicle fuel tank and liquid fuel transportation tank
1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and operating instructions of explosion suppression for road transportation vehicle fuel tanks and liquid fuel transportation tanks.
This standard is applicable to road transportation vehicle fuel tanks and atmospheric liquid fuel transportation tanks, for which explosion suppression technique is adopted.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
explosion suppression technique
technique for filling explosion suppression materials into containers such as vehicle fuel tanks or liquid fuel transportation tanks (hereinafter referred to as fuel tanks or tanks) to form many separation spaces, so as to restrain the rapid spread of flame and the instant release of energy, destroy the explosion conditions for media in containers and prevent media from exploding
3.2
liquid fuel
substance that is liquid at normal temperature and pressure and can release energy after a chemical or physical reaction
Note: For the purpose of this standard, “liquid fuel” is the general term of gasoline for motor vehicles, automobile diesel fuel, general diesel fuel, methanol and methanol gasoline for motor vehicles, ethanol and ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles.
3.3
reduction ratio of effective volume
ratio of the difference between the volumes of the fuel tank or tank before and after filling the explosion suppression material to the volume of the fuel tank or tank before it is filled with the material
3.4
filling density
ratio of the mass of the explosion suppression material to the volume of the fuel tank or tank after it is filled with the explosion suppression material
