1.0.1 This Specification is formulated with a view to enhance the corrosion-preventive capability of the motorway concrete structure and to guarantee the quality of engineering.
1.0.2 This Specification is applicable to engineering structures built by using the normal concrete like Highway Bridge, tunnel, culvert and retaining structures.
1.0.3 This Specification only cover the common environmental factors that erode the concrete structure, including the atmospheric factors like moisture, frost, air and its pollutants (salt mist, sulfur dioxide, CO2 of super thickness, automobile tail gas) Chemistry and physical factors like the earth body and water substance containing chlorine salt, vitriol and carbonic acid and the erosion of ice-removal salt on the motorway concrete structure in the cold area. This Specification does not cover the mechanical effects like fatigue load, vibration and abrasion, nor the biological effects, radiation effect as well as electromagnetic effects.
1.0.4 As for the engineering and construction of corrosion preventive capability of motorway concrete structure, not only the requirements stipulated in this Specification, but also those in the current national standard and the professional standard of communication industry of the nation shall be complied with.
1.0.5 Contents stipulated in this Specification are just the basic requirements, if necessary; design staff shall put forward more specific requirements in view of the engineering and the characteristics of the environment.
