1 Scope
This standard specifies product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packing, transport and storage of rotary dryer drum.
This standard is applicable to rotary dryer drum (hereinafter referred to as "dryer") which utilizes direct heat transfer mode to dry materials. This dryer is mainly used for drying slag, clay, limestone, coal, metal concentrate and some chemical materials, etc.

3 Product Classification
3.1 Type
3.1.1 According to the position of driving device, the dryer is classified into left and right driving types: in view of feed direction, it is left driving (see Figure 1) if the driving device is on the left of the dryer; it is right driving if on the right, (see Figure 2).
