1 Scope
This standard is applicable to the electric products for general use in the tropics (wet tropics, sub-humid tropics, dry tropics).
The technical requirements of various standards for electric products in the tropics shall comply with the requirements of this standard. For those not specified in this standard, various standards for electric products in the tropics shall be applicable.

3 Type of Climate Protection and Environmental Conditions
3.1 The type of climate protection for electric products in the tropics refers to the type of products designed and manufactured with corresponding protective measures for electric products used in tropical climates, and to ensure the reliability of the product used in the typical environment when the electrical product is used in a tropical climate.
