1 Scope
This standard specifies the ordering requirements, manufacturing process, technical requirements, inspection rules, test methods, acceptance, quality certificate, marking and packaging etc. of shaft forgings for hydraulic turbines and hydraulic generators (including the welded shaft, hereinafter referred to as "forging").
This standard is applicable to the ordering, manufacturing and inspection of shaft forgings for hydraulic turbines and hydraulic generators.

3 Ordering Requirements
3.1 The Purchaser shall indicate the adopted standard, material designation, strength grade of forging, corresponding technical requirements and inspection items as well as inspection items beyond this standard as specified by the Supplier and the Purchaser in order contract or technical agreement.
3.2 The Purchaser shall provide the order drawing of forging with sampling position of mechanical property test specimen indicated.
