1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, manufacturing requirements, inspection, packaging, transportation and storage, installation and use as well as after-sales service and technical guarantee of elastic metal plastic pad for thrust bearings of hydro-generators (hereinafter referred to as plastic pad).
This standard is applicable to elastic metal plastic pad for thrust bearing of hydro-generator unit; elastic metal plastic pad for guide bearing of hydro-generator unit may also refer to the provisions of this standard.

the composite layer composed of elastic metal wire layer and fluoroplastic or modified fluoroplastic, which is called elastic composite layer for short

elastic metal plastic pad
the thrust pad formed by soldering elastic composite layer with metal pad foundation via certain process mode, which is called elastic metal plastic pad or plastic pad or EMP pad for short
