3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply:
3.1
the submarine-to-ship missile weapon system
weapon system, which launches missiles based on submarine from underwater to attack enemy’s ships on surface, including submarine-to-ship missile system, firing and controlling system and all support equipment for preparing missile; on the submarine, the submarine-to-ship missile system and its whole weapon channel are collectively referred to as missile weapon system or submarine-based missile weapon system to distinguish from other submarine-based weapon systems
3.2
submarine-to-ship missile system
system consisting of missiles to complete tasks from aerial flight to damaging enemy ships, launch vehicle (including ancillary equipment) that carries or assists missiles to separate from submarine and operate underwater, or seals; submarine-to-ship missile systems (hereinafter referred to as “missile systems”) are also collectively referred to as “missiles” as long as not causing confusion, if missiles and launch vehicle or seals form a whole, or if it is necessary to mention them at the same time
3.3
firing and controlling system
submarine-based equipment of submarine-to-ship missile weapon system, which is used for obtaining target indication information, submarine information, calculating shooting data and controlling launch, and which usually consists of two parts: submarine-based common equipment and special equipment for submarine-based missile weapon system
3.4
all support equipment for preparing missile
generic term for related equipment for completing technical preparation, transferring, submarine loading and other technical work of missile system, which is also referred to as “ground support equipment” when the emphasis is put on the performance of individual equipment
3.5
work-missile
missile system without pyrotechnic devices such as power and warhead, which is used for equivalent inspection or joint debugging of all support equipment for preparing missile, launch control inspection and launch pre-test of submarine-based missile weapon system and troop training
3.6
test system
generic term for test-related systems such as tested objects, products to be tested, test command systems, measurement and control systems, the timing communication systems, technical services and test support systems, etc., which are jointly used for a certain test project
3.7
test manuals
generic term for the documents (test scheme, cooperative procedure, operating procedure, etc.) prepared by the tester for organizing implementation and technical operation
