1 Scope
This technical guide specifies the technical requirements for connecting large-scale PV power station (100KW or above) to electric power systems.
This technical guide is applicable to PV power stations connected to the grid by electric transmission line (voltage class of 10 KV or above).

For dated reference, subsequent amendments to (excluding the correction contents), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. 3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this technical guide.
3.1
PV power station
A large-scale PV power generation system consisted of one or more photovoltaic power subsystems, converting sunlight energy directly to electric energy.
3.2
Photovoltaic power subsystem
A system including (one or more) grid connection inverters and relevant BOS (components of balance system), as well as a solar-cell-array with one point of common coupling.
3.3
Active power of PV power station
Total active power output from PV power station.
3.4
Reactive power of PV power station
Total reactive power output from PV power station.
3.5
Power factor of PV power station
Power factor calculated by the total active power and total reactive power output from PV power station. The power factor (PF) shall be calculated by the following formula:
