Chemical reagent -General rules for the gas chromatography
1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for apparatus and analysis methods for gas chromatography for chemical reagents. The detectors to be used include a thermal conductivity detector and a flame ionization detector, and the chromatographic columns are packed columns and capillary columns.
This standard is applicable to the determination of main components and impurities of organic chemical reagents containing volatile components.

The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) to, or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply to this standard. However, parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition applies.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 4946 as well as the following apply.
3.1
asymmetric factor (f)
parameter describing the degree of asymmetry of chromatographic peaks, as illustrated in Annex A
3.2
height of an effective plate (Heff)
length of a unit effective plate, as illustrated in Annex A
4 Principle
After being vaporized, the sample and its measured components enter the chromatographic column simultaneously with the carrier gas. As the components to be determined have different physicochemical properties such as adsorption or dissolution, desorption or resolution of between gas-
