1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of refined cotton.
This standard is applicable to refined cotton made of cotton linters via such refining treatments as alkaline cooking and bleaching.

3 Product Classification and Code
3.1 Refined cotton products are classified into three classes by use, namely refined cotton used for cellulose acetate, refined cotton used for nitrocellulose and refined cotton used for cellulose ether.
3.2 Product code generally consists of use code, specification code and performance code, and its expression method is shown in Figure 1.
