Equipment for Continuous Monitoring of Radioactivity in Gaseous Effluents - Part 2: Specific Requirements for Radioactive Aerosols Monitors Including Transuranic Aerosols
This part in GB /T 7165 is applicable to equipments for simultaneous, delayed or ordinal monitoring on aerosols effluents discharged to the environment.
Such kind of instruments has the following functions:
——measure volume activity of aerosols effluent (Bq / m3) and / or aerosols total discharge activity (Bq);
——startup warning signal, when exceed preselected volume activity or preselected aerosols total discharge activity.
These kinds of equipments are used for measuring activity in a wide range, including tiny volume in a large natural background. There are usually 222 Rn and 220 Rn radioactive decay products in the natural background. When monitoring low level activity, it is important to identify background activity. For the purpose of providing more and accurate information, Complementary or succeeding laboratory analysis could be carried out for sampled filter.
This part is to specify special standard requirements, including technical and general test conditions and give examples for feasible aerosols effluent monitoring instrument method.
This standard GB /T 7165.1—2005 specifies general requirements, technical characteristic, test methods, radiation characteristic, electrical characteristic, mechanical characteristic, safety characteristic and environmental characteristic. Unless otherwise specified, those requirements are all applicable to this standard.
