1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements and test methods for the construction, performance, safety and the like of class 1.5 diaphragm gas meters (hereinafter referred to as gas meters) having two pipe or single pipe connections, at maximum working pressures not exceeding 50kPa and maximum actual flow rates not exceeding 160 m3/h over a minimum ambient temperature range of -10℃ to +40℃ and a working medium temperature range no less than 40K.
This standard applies to the gas meters installed in the closed locations (indoor or outdoor with protection) or open locations (outdoor without any protection) with or without vibration and shocks of low significance, condensing humidity or electromagnetic disturbances [including the gas meters installed with electronic auxiliary device (see Appendix C) or built-in mechanical gas temperature conversion device (see Appendix D)].
Unless otherwise stated, all pressures given in this standard are pressure (gauge pressure) against the atmospheric pressure.
