1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions for general use, category of tyres, components of tyres, tread pattern, rims, dimension of tyres, performance and test of tyre, tyre marking, appearance defects, application, retread and repair.
This standard is applicable to passenger car tyre, light truck tyre, truck tyre, earth-mover tyre, agricultural tyre, industrial tyre, motorcycle tyre, cycle tyre and aircraft tire.

A ring-shaped covering that fits around a wheel's rim for driving the automobiles, engineering machinery, agricultural machinery, industrial vehicle, motorcycle and cycle vehicle and helping the aircrafts take off /land.
