1 Method I Direct Electrolytic-Atomic Absorption Spectrometry
1.1 Scope
This method specifies the determination methods for copper content in copper and copper alloys.
This method is applicable to the determination of copper content in copper and copper alloys. The determination scope is 50.00%~99.00%.
1.2 Principle
The test portion is dissolved by nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid to reduce nitrogen oxide with hydrogen peroxide, then the lead is added to reduce the platinum loss on the anode so that the copper is exhaled on platinum cathode by electrolysis and then stoved and weighed. The copper content remained in the electrolyte is determined with flame atomic absorption spectrometry.
