This standard specifies a method for the determination of residual vinyl chloride monomer content in polyvinyl chloride with headspace gas chromatography method.

This standard is applicable to the determination of vinyl chloride monomer content in polyvinyl chloride resin and its compound; concentrations of vinyl chloride monomer in the range of 0.1~3.0μg/g can be determined.
