GB/T 43005-2023 Composite pipes of polyethylene reinforced with continuous wound glass-fiber-tape for water supply
1 Scope
This document specifies the materials, pressure reduction factor, structure and connection mode, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of composite pipes of polyethylene reinforced with continuous wound glass-fiber-tape for water supply (hereinafter referred to as "composite pipes").
This document is applicable to the composite pipes, with water temperature not higher than 40°C, for general purpose pressure water transmission and drinking water transmission and distribution. Considering the influence factors such as chemical resistance and temperature resistance of the materials, it is also applicable to the composite pipes for sewage transportation, seawater transportation and brine transportation in the salt chemical industry.
Note: It is the responsibility of the purchaser to make the appropriate selections from these aspects, taking into account their particular requirements and any relevant national regulations and standards or codes.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 19278 and the following apply.
3.1
composite pipes of polyethylene reinforced with continuous wound glass-fiber-tape
reinforced thermoplastic composite pipes are formed by the continuous wound glass-fiber-tape alternately coiled and fused into the reinforcement windings, and the liner and cover of PE are extruded, and the liner and cover are fused into the reinforcement windings in the continuous extrusion process
3.2
liner
polymer layer formed by continuous extrusion and in direct contact with the conveying medium
3.3
reinforcement windings
main bearing structure that provides the mechanical strength of the composite pipe to meet the load requirements during operation and installation
3.4
cover
polymer layer formed by continuous extrusion and on the outside of the composite pipe
