3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
infant bouncer
lounger intended for carrying an infant, in which the infant can be bounced by the elasticity of the support or by other mechanical means (see Figure 1)
Note: There are two types of infant bouncers, one for infants up to when they start to try to sit up, and the other for infants up to when they start to stand up, both including foldable and non-foldable products.
Figure 1 Example diagram of infant bouncer
3.2
infant rocker
lounger intended for carrying an infant to rock him/her (see Figure 2)
Note: There are two types of infant rockers, one for infants up to when they start to try to sit up, and the other for infants up to when they start to stand up, both including foldable and non-foldable products. Some infant rockers can be locked to stay still.
Figure 2 Example diagram of infant rocker
3.3
infant swing
device with a fixed frame and a transmission mechanism for reciprocal swinging of an infant in a lying or sitting position (see Figure 3)
Note: Infant swings are intended for use by infants weighing up to 9kg who cannot sit independently.
Figure 3 Example diagram of infant swing
3.4
junction line
position where the backrest intersects the seating surface
Note 1: In case of a non-hammock type seat unit, the seam line between the backrest and the seating surface is the junction line, as shown in Figure 4.
Key:
LL——Junction line;
1——Backrest;
2——Seating surface.
Figure 4 Junction line of non-hammock type seat unit
Note 2: In case of a hammock type seat unit, the theoretical junction line is "LL", as shown in Figure 5. For these products, the junction line will vary when the backrest is adjusted in different positions.
Key:
LL——Junction line;
CL——Vertical projection line of point C on the hammock.
