3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
oxygen absorber
product that can react with oxygen within the specified time to reduce the oxygen concentration in food packaging to less than 0.1% (volume fraction) and keep it for a certain time
Note: It can be classified into oil-proof and water-proof type and non-oil-proof and water-proof type according to its oil-proof and water-proof performance.
3.2
total oxygen absorbed capacity
maximum oxygen absorbed capacity
maximum volume of oxygen that can be absorbed by the unit packaging product within a specified time under normal temperature and pressure
3.3
nominal oxygen absorbed capacity
minimum oxygen absorbed capacity required for unit product to reduce the oxygen concentration in the confined space to less than 0.1% (volume fraction) and keep it for a certain time
3.4
oxygen absorbed speed
time required for the unit packaging product to reduce the oxygen concentration in the corresponding confined space to less than 0.1% (volume fraction) under normal temperature and pressure
3.5
leakage-proof performance
performance of preventing leakage of package contents
4 Technical requirements
