GB/T 36023-2018 Guides for energy efficiency assessment of prepainting process
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, assessment procedures, boundaries and scope of energy consumption statistics, benchmark energy consumption, actual energy consumption, energy efficiency index, energy efficiency analysis and measures for optimizing energy efficiency in connection with the energy efficiency assessment of prepainting process of steel strips.
This standard is applicable to energy efficiency assessment and energy-saving potential analysis of the prepainting process in iron and steel enterprises.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 23331, GB/T 28924 and YB/T 4662 apply.
4 Assessment procedures
The requirements of YB/T 4662 shall apply.
5 Boundaries and scope of energy consumption statistics
5.1 Process boundary division
The boundary of prepainting process starts from the input of raw materials (raw steel coils and coatings, etc.), energy, and energy-consumed mediums, and ends with the output of the final color-coated steel coil products and the externally supplied energy.
Refer to Annex A for the boundary division of the prepainting process.
5.2 Scope of energy consumption statistics
The scope of energy consumption statistics for the prepainting process is defined as follows:
a) Including dedicated water and gas supply systems separately equipped for the production line, in which case the corresponding energy-consumed medium is selected and input;
b) Including all sub-processes of the prepainting process, as well as the feeding process of raw material steel coils and the process of going off-line, packaging and warehousing of steel coil products;
c) Including machine maintenance, inspection, laboratory testing, metering, transportation, production management and scheduling systems, as well as auxiliary production systems such as heating or cooling, lighting, and storage;
d) Including the loss of various energy sources within the interface of the prepainting process;
e) Excluding recycled and externally supplied energy sources;
f) Excluding energy used for life purposes, such as canteen, offices, and rest rooms, which are not related to production; and
g) Excluding treatment of waste water, waste gas and solid waste.
