1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, codes, ordering information, dimensions, shape, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and product quality certificate of hot rolling vhecker steel sheet and strip.
This standard is applicable to the rhombic, lenticular, round bean-shaped and combined hot rolling checker steel sheet and strip in thickness of 1.4mm to 16.0mm (hereinafter referred to as "steel sheet and strip").

3.1 Classification according to edge state are as follows:
a) Trimmed: EC;
b) Untrimmed: EM.
3.2 Classification according to checker shape are as follows:
a) Rhombic: LX;
b) Lenticular: BD;
c) Round bean-shaped: YD;
d) Combined: ZH.
4 Ordering Information
4.1 The order contract or order according to this standard shall include the following information:
a) Serial number of this standard;
b) Designation;
c) Product category (steel sheet or strip);
d) Specification;
e) Checker shape;
f) Edge state;
g) Other requirements.
4.2 Example of labelling
Untrimmed lenticular checker steel sheet delivered in accordance with this standard, in designation of Q235B, dimensions of 3.0 mm×1 250 mm×2 500 mm, labelled as:
5.1 The dimension of steel sheetw and stripw as specified in Table 1. Other dimensions of steel sheet and strips may also be provided, through negotiation betwwen the supplier and the purchaser.

5.2 The dimension, shape and distribution for the checker of steel sheet and strip are for reference only, as Figures 1 through 4. Each dimension in the figures shall be used for the control of roller processing of the manufacturer, and shall not be taken as the criterion of finished steel plate and strip inspection. Other shape of steel sheet and strip may be provided through negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser.
