This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard was proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of SAC/TC 335 National Technical Committee on Elevating Work Platforms of Standardization Administration of China.
Mobile suspended work platform
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and principal parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage for mobile suspended work platforms.
This standard is applicable to mobile suspended work platforms (hereinafter referred to as MSWP) that have the ability to travel and where suspended platforms are used to transport workers to designated locations.
This standard is not applicable to the following:
——building maintenance units;
——suspended access equipment for high-altitude work;
——builders hoists for persons and materials with vertically guided suspended platforms;
——mobile cranes.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB 19154 and the following apply.
3.1
mobile suspended work platform
lifting device that has the ability to travel, derricking, slewing, and lifting a suspended platform through a boom to transport workers to a designated location
Note: the work platform in this standard is the suspended platform.
3.2
operator
designated person who can safely operate the mobile suspended work platforms and holds operating qualification certificate(s) after receiving the relevant qualification training and necessary guidance for high-altitude operations and mobile suspended work platforms
3.3
worker
person who can safely operate the mobile suspended work platform and holds the operating qualification certificate, transported by the suspended platform to a working location
3.4
suspended platform
device with a base plate, enclosure walls, a door and a roof, used for carrying workers and portable tools with suspension wire ropes
3.5
working device
all mechanisms except for the suspended platform, including the lifting mechanism, boom mechanism, slewing mechanism, etc. above the slewing bearing
3.6
secondary device
device used to stop the lowering of the suspended platform in an emergency (such as the fracture of a suspension wire rope or the failure of the lifting mechanism)
3.7
working height
vertical distance between the highest working plane and the lowest working plane of the suspended platform base plate during operation of the mobile suspended work platform
3.8
working range
horizontal distance between the slewing central axis of the working device of the mobile suspended work platform and the center of the suspended platform
3.9
rated load
maximum working load allowed by the design of mobile suspended work platform when its boom is at the maximum working range
3.10
total suspended load
static load applied to the suspension point of the working device, including the rated load capacity of the suspended platform and the dead weight of the suspended platform, accessory equipment, wire ropes and cables
4 Classification and principal parameters
4.1 Classification
According to the main boom structure, the mobile suspended work platforms are classified into fixed-boom-type ones and telescopic-boom-type ones. See Figures 1 and 2.
Keys:
1——chassis; 4——electrical control system; 7——boom;
2——slewing platform; 5——suspended platform; 8——derricking mechanism;
3—hydraulic system; 6—leveling device; 9—lifting mechanism.
