Natural gas - Determination of particles content - Gravimetric method
1 Scope
This standard specifies the method of determining the particle content in natural gas by filter membrane gravimetric method.
It is applicable to the determination of particle content in natural gas. The determination pressure is 0.1MPa~6MPa and the measurement range is 0.1mg/m3~100mg/m3. If the filter membrane trap and the whole sampling and trapping system can bear higher pressure, the determination pressure may be increased to the corresponding pressure.
This standard does not address all safety issues related to its application. It is the responsibility of the users to prepare corresponding safety and protection measures and define the application scope before using this standard.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
particles
solid particles larger than 0.5μm without attached water, including the trace compositions absorbed by the particles and not volatilized after drying
4 Test principle
When a certain volume of natural gas passes through a filter membrane with constant weight, the particle is blocked on the filter membrane; after drying and weighting, the particle content is calculated according to the particle mass and the volume of the passed natural gas (in mg/m3).
