Battery grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate
1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificate and order form (or contract) of the battery grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate.
This standard is applicable to the battery grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate produced with various methods.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following term and definition apply.
3.1
magnetic impurity
substances that can be directly or indirectly adsorbed by ferromagnets
Note: It mainly refers to magnetic substances in transition elements iron, chromium, nickel, zinc and their alloys. This term refers to the combination of iron, chromium, nickel and zinc in this standard.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Product classification
4.1.1 According to chemical composition, the lithium hydroxide monohydrate are classified into three designations, i.e., LiOH·H2O-D1, LiOH·H2O-D2 and LiOH·H2O-D3.
4.1.2 Battery grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate is classified into crystal type and micropowder type by appearance.
4.2 Chemical composition
Chemical composition of the battery grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate shall meet those specified in Table 1.

4.3 Magnetic impurity
The contents of magnetic impurity in the products shall meet those specified in Table 2.

4.4 Particle size
The particle size D50 of battery grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate micropowder products shall be 3 μm ≤ D50 ≤ 20 μm.
4.5 Appearance quality
4.5.1 The battery grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate crystal products are white crystalline particles with fluidity and without visible inclusions.
4.5.2 The battery grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate micropowder products are white powder with fluidity and without visible inclusions.
5 Test methods
5.1 The analysis of chemical composition shall be carried out in accordance with GB/T 11064 and Annex A herein.
5.2 The analysis of magnetic impurity in the products shall be carried out in accordance with Annex B.
5.3 The analysis of particle size of the products shall be carried out in accordance with GB/T 19077.
5.4 The appearance quality of products shall be inspected visually.
6 Inspection rules
6.1 Inspection and acceptance
6.1.1 The products shall be inspected by the supplier which shall ensure that the product quality meets the requirements of this standard and order form (or contract) and shall fill in the quality certificate.
6.1.2 The purchaser shall inspect the products received according to those specified in this standard; if the inspection results cannot meet the requirements of this standard and the order form (or contract), it shall be proposed to the supplier in written form, and shall be settled through agreement between the supplier and purchaser. The objection regarding the appearance quality shall be submitted within one month from the date of receipt. Other performance rejection shall be submitted within three months from the date of receipt. Any arbitration, if necessary, shall be determined through negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser.
