1 Scope
This standard specifies the terminologies and definitions, classification and mark, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of basalt continuous roving.
This Standard is applicable to direct basalt fiber roving or basalt continuous roving formed by stranding.

3 Terminologies and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions as well as those specified in GB/T 18374 apply.

Basalt
Basalt is a kind of mineral rock belonging to igneous rock made through the condensation of magma erupted from the volcano.
3.2
Basalt continuous roving
A fiber cluster that made by the assembling of multi-strand parallel basalt fiber tows or non-twisting single-strand basalt tow, including assembled basalt continuous roving and direct basalt continuous roving.
