1 Scope
This Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings for guided type fall arresters including a flexible anchor line.
This Standard is applicable only to the guided type fall arresters including a flexible anchor line limited to single-person use of a total mass not exceeding 100 kg. If the total mass of user (which includes attached tools and equipment) exceeds 100 kg, it shall be advised to seek advice from the equipment manufacturers regarding the suitability of the equipment, which may need additional testing to take into account the larger mass.
This Standard is not applicable to the flexible anchor line with a inclination angle to the vertical direction exceed 15°.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this Standard, terms and definitions given in GB/T 12903 and the following apply.
3.1 Flexible anchor line
A flexible anchor line is intended to for securing to an upper anchor point. The guided type fall arrester travels along an anchor line and locks automatically on the anchor line when a fall occurs.
Note 1: Flexible anchor line may be fibre ropes, steel wire ropes, or webbing, etc.
Note 2: Flexible anchor line is attached to a connector or a connector-terminated lanyard with a certain distance. An energy dissipating function may be installed between the fall arrester and the anchor line.
3.2 Guided type fall arrester
Fall arrester with a self-locking function and a guide facility.
The guided type fall arrester travels along an anchor line, accompanies the user without requiring manual adjustment during upward or downward changes of position and locks automatically on the anchor line when a fall occurs.
Note: This component may not with an energy dissipating function, but it shall be reusable.
3.3 Lanyard
Connecting element or component of a fall arrest system. A lanyard may be of synthetic fibre rope, wire rope, webbing or chain.
Note: A lanyard shall be able to extend or limit the movement of users, and with an energy dissipating function.
3.4 Energy absorber
Element or a component of a fall arrest system, which is designed to dissipate the kinetic energy developed during a fall from a height.
3.5 Connector
The connect component with normally-closed valve.
Note: this component is used to connect lacing and lanyard or lanyard and anchor attachment point.
3.6 Connecting line
The component, connected to the guided type fall arrester, for connecting the guided type fall arrester and lacing hanging point
Note: the connecting line may be lanyard, energy absorber, connector or their arbitrary combination.
3.7 Opening device
Some device on the guided type fall arrester making it possible for the guided type fall arrester to be installed or removed at any point of the anchor line.
3.8 Arrest distance

Vertical distance measured at the mobile load bearing point from the initial position to the final position, excluding the displacements of the full body harness and its attachment element.
3.9 Fall distance
The maximum distance from the falling start point or working plane to the lowest point (head or feet) of the body of the safety belt wearer
4 Technical Requirements
4.1 General rules
4.1.1 Design, position and protective measures of each component shall be able to avoid the protection function failure caused by the user's occasional misoperation.
4.1.2 Each component shall be smoothly finished and free from defects due to faulty material and manufacture, and shall not have sharp or rough edges.
4.1.3 Lanyard applied in the system shall meet the requirements of GB 24543, energy absorber shall meet the requirements of GB/T 24538, connector shall meet the requirements of GB/T 23469 and anchor line shall meet the requirements of GB/T 24543.
4.1.4 Guided type fall arrester and anchor line shall be able to ensure the normal use in the applicable ice and snow environment.
