This standard specifies two measuring methods of resistance to bending-- static bending and resonance method.
Generally, the static bending method in this standard is applicable to the board with stiffness of 20mN~10000mN and is only applicable to the instruments with bending angle of 7.5 or 15.
The resonance method in this standard is applicable to many kinds of paper and board but is not applicable to the laminated paper or board that will delaminate in testing, the paper or board with obvious crinkles, especially those with crinkling axis being at the long side of specimen, as well as the paper with base weight less than 40g/m2.
This standard is not applicable to the corrugated board.
