Road vehicles - Brake linings - Shear test method for disc brake pad and drum brake shoe assemblies
1 Scope
This document describes the preparation of specimens, test devices and fixtures, test procedure, result calculation, and test report for the shear test method for disc brake pad and drum brake shoe assemblies.
This document is applicable to the determination of shear strength of vehicle disc brake pad and drum brake shoe assemblies that are integrally molded, bonded or use two types of fixed systems. This document is not applicable to the determination of shear strength of riveted vehicle brake pad (shoe) assembly.
