Humectants for toothpastes — Glycerin and polyethylene glycol
1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and shelf life of glycerin and polyethylene glycol in humectants for toothpaste.
This document is applicable to glycerin and polyethylene glycol with relative molecular weight of 200 ~ 8000 in humectants for toothpaste.

4 Requirements
4.1 Glycerin
Sensory, physical and chemical indexes and toxic substance limit indexes of glycerin shall meet the requirements of Table 1 and Table 2.
4.2 Polyethylene glycol
Sensory, physical and chemical indexes and toxic substance limit indexes of polyethylene glycol shall meet the requirements of Tables 3 and Table 4.
