Technical specification for inspection of lightning protection systems of buildings
1 Scope
This document specifies the inspection classification and items, inspection requirements and methods, periodic inspection period, inspection procedure, inspection records, conclusive judgment and reports in connection with lightning protection systems of buildings.
This document is applicable to the inspection of lightning protection systems of buildings.
This document is not applicable to:
a) railway systems;
b) vehicles, ships, aircrafts and offshore installations; or
c) underground high-pressure pipelines; and pipelines, power lines and communication lines not connected with the buildings.

3.2
inspection of lightning protection system
the whole process of inspection, measurement, and comprehensive analysis and processing of information to determine whether the lightning protection system meets the requirements of relevant standards
4 Inspection classification and items
4.1 Inspection classification
4.1.1 The inspection is divided into acceptance inspection and periodic inspection. Where,
a) Acceptance inspection refers to the inspection conducted before the lightning protection systems of buildings newly built, rebuilt and expanded are put into use;
b) Periodic inspection is the inspection of lightning protection devices after the buildings are put into use according to the specified period.
4.1.2 The items and sub-items of acceptance inspection and periodic inspection shall comply with the requirements of Annex A.
