1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage of automatic guided vehicles.
This standard is applicable to automatic guided vehicles (AGV).

For dated reference, subsequent amendments to (excluding any corrigendum), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards indicated below. 3 Basic parameters
The basic parameters of automatic guided vehicles include:
System control mode, operation mode, communication mode, navigation mode, drive mode, load mode, load capacity, dead weight, maximum motion speed, rated speed, navigation accuracy, parking accuracy, minimum radius of rotation, power supply mode, battery specification, and charging mode. The AGV manufacturer is required to provide basic parameter data for the user.
a) System control mode: refers to the acceptance mode of AGV as a system to operate its commands, which may be centralized control mode, distributed control mode, master-slave collaborative control mode or stand-alone automatic mode.
b) Operation mode: refers to the mode that a single AGV executes motion instructions, including manual mode, automatic mode, off-line automatic mode, etc.
c) Communication mode: refers to the mode in which the AGV establishes a communication connection with the related system, which may be wireless serial communication, infrared communication, wireless LAN communication, and the like.
d) Navigation mode: refers to the positioning method adopted by the AGV to match the operation map, which may be electromagnetic navigation, magnetic navigation, CCD image navigation, laser navigation, and the like.
