Part 4: High strength low alloy steel
1 Scope
This document specifies the classification and designation expression, order content, dimension, shape, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of continuously cold rolled high strength low alloy steel sheet and strip for automobile.
This document is applicable to continuously cold rolled high strength low alloy steel sheet and strip with thickness of 3.0 mm or below, which are mainly used for making structural parts and stiffeners of automobile (hereinafter referred to as "sheet and strip").

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

low carbon steel with higher strength by refining grains of microalloying elements and adding such single or composite microalloying elements as niobium, titanium and vanadium to precipitate the carbohydrates and nitrogenous compounds particles
4 Designation expression and classification
4.1 Designation expression
The designation of steel sheet and strip consists of three parts: the initial capital letters of "Cold Rolled", i.e., "CR", the specified minimum yield strength and the initial capital letters of "Low Alloy", i.e., "LA".
For example: CR260LA, where:
CR——the initial capital letters of "Cold Rolled";
260——the specified minimum yield strength, in MPa;
LA——the initial capital letter of "Low Alloy".

4.2.1 The designation and recommended application of steel sheet and strip are shown in Table 1.
